How can it be tested locally?

If you just want to see that it works with your logs, we will process a couple of weeks (depending on size) of log files for you and give you the report. This can be done by either transferring the logs to us, or providing us with remote access to a development machine.

 

We'd also like to see a report of quiz use at hourly intervals. Can it do this?

This functionality is not in the current product but could be provided as a custom add-on.

 

We are collecting requirements for reporting like this and may include such functionality in future products.

 

Is Tool Use generic in the sense that it will also work on a Win 2K platform?

Tool Use will run on any of the three WebCT OSs.

 

Will it work with Vista?

Tool Use could be enhanced to generate reports based on data from Vista's reporting interface. Such reports could be more advanced than those from CE 3 and 4. For example, more granular and distingush users by their role. Extension of Tool Use for Vista will depend on demand. Email enquiries@netkno.com if you are interested.

 

Will it work with CE 6?

Tool Use will not work for CE 6 as it does for CE 4. However, if you have CE 6's reporting module, then Tool Use could be enhanced to generate reports based on data from this. As for Vista. such reports could be more advanced than those from CE 3 and 4. Extension of Tool Use for CE 6 will depend on demand. Email enquiries@netkno.com if you are interested.
