1997-2000

Peter Love thought up the idea for this in 1997 and oversaw its
implementation in January 1998 when establishing Macquarie University's
Online Teaching Facility (http://online.mq.edu.au).  He wrote the original 
checking and notification programs and Sean Noble wrote the CGI program.

In 2000 Peter Love completely re-wrote everything except the form
parsing script.

In April, 2000 it was released to other institutions and labelled
COMNOT version 0.3 beta.
